By placing an order on this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before purchasing.

2. Basis of Sale

These Terms and Conditions govern the sale of products by The Clever Chair to you ("the Customer"). A binding contract is formed when we dispatch your order and send a dispatch confirmation. We reserve the right to cancel any order before dispatch, in which case a full refund will be issued promptly.

All orders are subject to availability and acceptance. We reserve the right to refuse orders at our discretion without providing a reason.

3. Pre-Orders

Where a product is listed as a pre-order item:

• Estimated delivery dates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed.
• Payment is taken in full at the time of placing your pre-order.
• We will notify you promptly of any significant changes to expected delivery timelines.
• If there is a material delay, you may request a full refund before the item is dispatched.

4. Payment & Klarna

We accept payment via Stripe (including debit and credit cards) and Google Pay. We also offer the following buy-now-pay-later options through Klarna:

• Pay in 3: Split the cost into 3 equal interest-free payments.
• Pay in 30: Receive your order now and pay within 30 days.

Klarna's credit products are unregulated. Klarna financing is available to UK residents aged 18 or over, subject to Klarna's own terms and approval process. We are not responsible for Klarna's lending decisions or their terms of service.

5. Prices and VAT

All prices displayed on our website are inclusive of UK VAT at the current rate of 20%, unless stated otherwise. Prices are correct at the time of listing and are subject to change without notice. Any change in VAT rate will be reflected in the price you pay.

6. Right to Cancel (Consumer Orders)

If you are a consumer (purchasing for personal, non-commercial use), you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

• To exercise your right to cancel, you must notify us in writing at info@thecleverchair.com before the 14-day period expires.
• Goods must be returned in their original, undamaged packaging and in a fully resalable condition.
• The cost of return shipping is the customer's responsibility, unless the item is faulty or was sent in error.
• Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned goods.

7. Commercial / B2B Orders

If you are purchasing as a business (for commercial or trade purposes), the 14-day consumer cancellation right does not apply. The following terms govern B2B orders:

• All B2B orders are placed on a proforma invoice basis. Payment is required before dispatch.
• Returns for B2B orders will only be accepted in the case of manufacturing defects or damage in transit.
• Bulk orders must be returned in full; partial returns will not be accepted unless agreed in writing.

8. Warranty

All products sold by The Clever Chair are covered by a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover:

• Damage caused by misuse, improper installation, or failure to follow care instructions
• Normal wear and tear
• Damage caused by third parties

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by this warranty.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Clever Chair's liability in connection with any purchase shall be limited to the price paid for the product. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses arising from the use or inability to use our products.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our website following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
